I’ll be there from Monday through Friday for a conference. Does Oppo have any recommendations? I plan to eat my weight in BBQ and visit my long lost friend Whataburger.

I actually live there. Rudys has pretty good BBQ, and you can’t visit without going to Van’s Pig Stand, their BBQ is awesome. There are some other smaller BBQ places that are supposed to be good that I haven’t been to yet like Big Daddy’s Smokehouse just south of Norman in Noble, OK. People also really seem to like Ray’s BBQ as well.

I want all of the BBQ. Portland doesn’t do BBQ. I will definitely look those up!

This is America, you can’t just go walking around at night taking pictures of people’s cars. You’re liable to get shot by the police. Shit, IM got hassled by his own neighbors just cruising around on his Vespa.

I went walking around Tbi lisi, Georgia in the middle of the night and snapped a few pictures of Ladas... I felt pretty damn vulnerable, ‘specially because I didn’t have a clue what the homeless-looking dude was yelling at me in Georgian...

We were there for work a few months ago and ended up with a few hours to kill so we visited the museum of osteology. I think it was on the south side of OKC. What I mean to say is, there wasn’t a whole lot to do...but the number of skeletons they had in the museum was impressive.

Charleston’s has great burgers and ribs, and was our favorite restaurant there. Nice enough for a date night but you can still bring kids or wear shorts and sandals. Red Rock is owned by the same group and is a little more upscale. Rudy’s is good for fast-food BBQ. I never liked Billy Sims BBQ all that much, but maybe that’s just because I’m from Texas....
If you want an authentic Oklahoma experience, drive out to Eischen’s for the best fried chicken in the world:

Grew up there and the Fam still lives there. Another vote for Charleston’s. Go have a red cup at The Deli. Visit the Sam Noble Museum.

I have an uncle named Norman. Sadly, he’s losing his marbles.
